Well, no one was going to be home for dinner except for me and my dad so i decided to COOK!
Everyone in my family can cook... grandpa, grandma, mum, including my brother. Me and my dad? We sit back, wait and eat :)

Before i start sounding lazy, hear me out. My brother has just graduated as a chef, and has worked in Shangri La hotel before. So why would i try and cook right? Everybody wants to eat his food. But once in awhile. I get adventurous and i'll try to mess the kitchen up a bit :)

Not everything turns out disastrous you know... except for that one time 2 years back when i was HOSTING a Christmas party. Yeah... act smart, didn't do any 'practicing' before hand and my pasta sauce turned out pretty bland. Very paiseh. Lucky it was pot-luck lol. Next time i'll just call for Mcdonalds or KFC should i have to cook for more than 2 people!

I'm still quite proud of the Kimchi Baked Rice i made several years ago. God knows how i decided that kimchi and cheese would be a fab combination! When my mum makes or buys kimchi, i'll do a post on it! *yums*

Hmm... anyway, what i made today: Pan Seared Salmon with Mash.
I've never cooked salmon before lol. I had to make do with salmon belly (which is usually for teriyaki) in fact.

Seasoning the salmon. Salt, ground pepper, rosemary leaves and lemon juice.

The mash potato. Tedious work k! i didn't boil them long enough, so i had a good exercise trying to mash them up. Tasted yummy so that's all that matters!

And the final results...

The green stuff are basil pesto sauce! Good stuff! Love it and i usually apply them onto toast for a snack :)

Yes it's edible!
But sorry dad, yours was slightly overcooked. :x
